Our goal is to create a camp environment where every child thrives in a 10:1 ratio. In order to achieve this, we ensure that our greatest asset is our enthusiastic, experienced staff. Our staff is the #1 reason, Girls Rock! Camp has been growing in numbers and philosophy. Each GRC location is overseen by a Guardian Angel who shares her knowledge, skill, creativity and maturity with campers, staff & parents. She makes her site her own and we are better off for it! We are SO lucky to have these professional women at the helm.
Along with our Guardian Angels, we have a trio of Angels at each site who help to deliver our GRC program with an exorbitant amount of energy and enthusiasm. These Angels are senior high school students or university students and they come with a plethora of gifts and talents (dance, cheer, sport, vocal, art, drama, culinary, and so on and so on and so on) waiting to be shared.
Our Girls Rock! Staff is like family – we have been blessed to see many of our staff come through our program as first as campers, then as AIT’s, and finally as Angels. It has been a privilege to see them grow up right before our very eyes! As well, our fearless leaders at the helm tend to come back year after year (that is unless they are on maternity leave! We have seen lots of babies these past dozen years). Mags, Bizee, and Pudding have been with us from the very start – how cool is that?!
